MANILA, Philippines: Saudi Arabian Airline
has swerved off the run and got stuck in the mud at Manila’ Internation airport
Tuesday night. Airport officials said that there are nearly 300 passengers aboard
Saudi Airlines Flight 871 were stranded because of the said incident.
Airport spokeswoman Jen Franco said that it
could be bad weather which caused the Saudi Airline’s pilot to miscalculate the
take off. Fortunately, no one was initially reported hurt among the passengers.
However, there at 11 other flights were delayed by the blocked runaway.
The airport authority said workers were struggling to remove the Boeing 747 after the incident.
Flight SV is bound for Riyadh is suppose to take off when the incident occurred. The flight was canceled and the passengers were taken away by bus and put up in a hotel. For the mean time, airport Officials could not yet say at what time the runway would be cleared.
