Fossils of the Largest Dinosaur Have Been Discovered by Researchers

Researchers of Museum Paleontology Egidio Feruglio have announced this week, they have found fossils of largest dinosaur and they believe the largest creature named as sauropod dinosaur have walked the earth. They assumed the largest creature Tyrannosaurus must have looked like a pipsqueak and the researchers have discovered the fossil in the Patagonia region of Argentina. The director of Museo Paleontologico Egidio Feruglio, Argentina has discovered the fossils of dinausors in a good condition and among the fossils they have got species of neck, back, legs and also the vertebrae of the tail.  The paleontological treasure has been measured by a team and they have estimated the size and weight of dinosaurs.

When compared with other findings, the fossil is considered to be the largest dinosaur ever. Dr Ruben Cueno have estimated weight of roughly 73 tons and the huge thigh bones have measured 40m long and 20m tall. The of dinosaur fossils were as heavy as 14 African elephants and heavier than Argentinosaurus. Researchers believe they belong to the new species of titanosaur. The bones were first noticed by local farm workers when something unusual came out of the ground.

Cuneo told to ABC news, the bones look absolutely different from that of horse, llamas and sheep. The biggest animal has taken the title of the largest dinosaur, but it doesn’t have a name yet. The scientist believes the new species has been dating since late Cretaceous period. The unearthed parts of skeletons were about 150 bones in total. The giant animal dinosaur fossils have been known to walk on the earth between 95 and 100 million years ago. The world’s biggest dinosaur is considered to be a similar type of Sauropod.

At the beginning the bones weighed 100 tonnes, later it was revised to 70 tonnes. Scientist started digging up the treasure, when farmed alerted them and the researchers discovered bones of seven dinosaurs, each with a height of 120 feet from nose to tail. Cuneo told ABC news, it is the first time they have discovered such a big beast in Patagonia. They expect it will take two more years to remove all the bones from the spot. Some of the bones will remain there on the spot which will be covered by special plaster and the earlier finding has been brought to the museum, where they have been displayed as the new dinosaur species.

Though the largest dinosaur has not yet been named, Cuneo said they would refer name considering the geographical area from where the dinosaur was found. Researchers will choose a name describing its magnificence and which will honor the farm owners who alerted about the treasure. Cuneo has suggested one option “ Super Patagoniasauraus”. Probably, there are still many things to discover from the spot.

Unidentified Flaming Object Falls from Sky

A huge flaming object fall from the sky and hit the ground almost “like a bomb”, this was reported by the residents from across central and northern Queensland,” police said on Friday.
They say they saw what appeared to be a huge ball with a blue and orange tail in the sky about 6:30pm (AEST) yesterday as it rushed towards the ground of the Earth. Meanwhile, the residents from Cunnamulla to Townsville have reported seeing the same object, but there they heard no reports of any fallen objects on Earth on the next day.
Queensland state police said they received numerous reports from the northern city of Townsville on Thursday evening about a burning object falling from the sky down to Earth, probably hitting the ground near Ross River Dam.
Mount Isa, a resident Virginia Hills says she accidentally photographed the phenomenon and said "Just happened to be - very fluky and one of those multiple shots of the moon that I was taking - rising up coming over the horizon."
"We happened to catch this blazing light that was ... just falling straight down" she added.
Ms. Hills' photo has been shared on websites across the world with her statement --
"I am actually flabbergasted at the attention at the moment because it was just a complete fluke," Ms Hills said.
"If we hadn't have been up there doing that, if I didn't have my camera pointed in that direction, it would never have happened."
Another Townsville resident Kim Vega was sitting in her backyard and thinks she saw the moment of impact.
"It was like an explosion but without a sound," she said.
"It [would have been] like an atomic bomb effect when it would have hit the ground and all the trees and the skies lit up."
She said it appeared the object hit the ground in rural bushland.
"Until you see them come out of the sky like that and actually look as though they hit the ground, they could obviously do a lot of damage," she said.
"Because it hit [a rural area], obviously no-one rang up and reported 'it hit a house'."
Another Townsville resident Terry Robinson said the fireball looked "amazing".
"It was pretty big and this thing hit like a bomb - it was huge," he said.
"I don't know how big it was, but in the sky it looked like half a dozen jumbo jets falling out of the sky at the same time."
There were also several reports around Rockhampton and across the state's Central Highlands.
ABC Radio listener John said his 10-year-old son Hamish saw it while kicking a football at Emerald, west of Rockhampton.
"He came running in and he said 'dad, dad - I've just seen a meteorite'," he said.
"He said it just lit up the sky and there was this entire color and everything else."
Alexander says he saw it while driving home to Alton Downs, north-west of Rockhampton.
"I said 'wow, that's a bright falling star'. I thought 'wow, that's close'," he said.

Explanation from Astronomer:
Astronomer Owen Bennedick, from Wappa Falls Observatory in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast, advised the object was not a meteor but more likely part of a satellite re-entering the Earth's atmosphere.
"Each different metal or each different plastic that a satellite's made of will burn at a different temperature and have a different color spectrum," he said.
Mr Bennedick said falling satellite debris was becoming more and more common nowadays but he said that the spectacle of impact can be an optical illusion because only the heavier object will fall to the ground while the rest burn up in the atmosphere. That is why people think the object landed and looked like they are so close but actually they are not.

'Flappy Bird' creator says he is bringing the game back in August

The Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen pulled his maddening smartphone game from the iOS app store in February because he said it is becoming too addictive and he is feeling the guilt of creating it. Because of that, many of the Flappy Bird’s avid players became so sad with what happened. The original game has been downloaded more than 50 million times and it was indeed a legend.
However, it seems that his guilt faded as he is he is bringing The Flappy game back in August with multiplayer capabilities and mysterious moderation. In an interview, Nguyen said the new version would be a multiplayer game that is "less addictive" than its predecessor.
Flappy Bird was a very simple game in which players guided a non-aerodynamic bird through a series of pipes but it is quite challenging. A simple tapping on the screen sent the eponymous bird floating up, but it need to have a good timing or else it sunk to the earth like a stone. There was no room for error, either. If players caught any part of an obstacle with the bird, it was game over and need to start the game all over again.
Why was single-player “Flappy Bird” so addictive anyway? Many have pointed to the games unusual difficulty is the main reason why it became so addictive. Many of the players appreciate this challenge as for only few of the other people can make it to the farther level.

Maybe Nguyen’s new multiplayer version will be easier and will be another hit in the gaming history, but some people say that it will be in less appealing to addiction-prone players. Some people wonder if he’s making some other, cleverer design tweaks that will transform the psychology of gameplay. Some people think that maybe Nguyen’s in for some more sleepless nights — right alongside his red-eyed, slack-jawed, utterly obsessed players.
