Linapacan Island in Palawan; Has the Clearest Water to Swim In Worldwide!


Philippines is a well-known place of having the world’s competitive beaches that each Filipino must be proud of. This includes, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and so many more.  Aside from the Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan which one of the seven wonders of the World, there is another Island in Palawan that emerged to be at the top spot of clearest water in the world.  In October 2013, American News site which is Daily News Dig, published their list of the clearest waters in the world to swim in; Linapacan Island, Palawan was on top of the list over the globally-famed Maldives and To Sua Ocean Trench in Samoa.
Linapacan is an average- sized island in the Calamianes group, situated between Coron to the north and the Palawan mainland to the south. It is said that  Linapacan waters are so clear that you can plainly see even your toenails underwater and it also boasts of the whitest of sands, even similar to those of Boracay.
Because of its less number of population compared to other popular beaches in the Philippines,  Linapacan islands offers a quiet, peaceful and soulful beach holiday. It is perfect place to spend your vacation while enjoying privacy in a world class vacation spot.  This is surely the ideal place for people who simply wish to enjoy the calm wonders of nature.


So how to Get to Linapacan?
There are two ways to get to the Linapacan islands:
First Option: Tourists who are coming from the major cities of Manila and Cebu can avail of direct flights to Puerto Princesa, Palawan and for those who  are coming from bus to El Nido can be boarded and from El Nido, they can ride on a boat to the Island.
Second Option:  From Manila, tourists can take a ferry to Coron. From Coron, another boat ride will have to be taken to San Miguel, Linapacan. Boat rides can  take 3 and half hours up to 4 hours depending on the boat speed. Ferry trips are actually scheduled every  Thursday and Friday afternoons only.
