'Halong' Typhoon moves closer to Luzon

For the latest Philippine typhoon update, a large portion of Luzon will experience heavy rains as the newest typhoon Halong moves west, northwest slowly to enter the Philippine Area of Responsiblity tonight or tomorrow at dawn.
A weather forecast issued by the state-run Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration at 5 a.m.  said the southwest monsoon is touching Luzon while "Halong"  which is locally named as “Jose” was located at 1,440 kilometers east of Central Luzon.The typhoon has maximum continual winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 150 kph and is believed to be one of the strongest “typhoon” this year.
PAGASAD said that places and provinces to experience occasion rains are "Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and the provinces of Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac, Zambales, and Batan. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
However, there rest part of the country will have moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest. Coastline will be moderate to rough though, because of the said TYPHOON.
